Spark plug, also called Sparking Plug, device that fits into the cylinder head of an internal-combustion engine and carries two electrodes separated by an air gap, across which current from a high-tension ignition system discharges, to form a spark for igniting the air–fuel mixture.

WHAT IS CARBURETTOR?

Carburetor is the piece of equipment in a car's engine that mixes petrol and air. Carburetor  is also a device for supplying a spark-ignition engine with a mixture of air and fuel .

It is used in internal combustion engine in an appropriate air-fuel ratio for combustion . The term is sometimes colloquially shortened to carb in the UK and North America or to in Australia.

'Carburetor' is word it comes from the verb 'carburet' That's a chemical term meaning.

The carburetor is responsible for mixing gasoline and air together in just the right amount and getting that mixture into the cylinders .Through they not found in new cars . Carburetors have delivered fuel into the engines of every vehicle from legendary race cars.

                            SPARK-IGNITION ENGINE.

A spark-ignition engine (si engine) is an internal combustion engine, generally a petrol engine, where the combustion process of the air -fuel mixture is ignited by a spark from a spark plug. This is in contrast to compression-ignition engines, typically diesel engine, where the heat generated from compression together with the injection of fuel is enough to initiate the combustion process , without needing any external spark.

spark-ignition engine are commonly referred to as 'gasoline engines' in north North America, and 'petrol engines' in Britain and the rest of the world. However ,these terms are not preferred, since spark-ignition engines can run on fuels other than petrol/gasoline, such as autogas (LPG) methanol, ethanol , bioethanol, compressed natural gas (CNG) , hydrogen, and (in drag racing) nitromethane.

A Engine is a machine designed to convert one form of energy into mechanical energy   There are 2 types of Engine are 

1.Internal combustion engine or ic Engine.

2.External combustion engine or si Engine.
